Puʻukumu School is a private, independent middle and high school on the north shore of Kauaʻi. We are a vibrant and spirited learning community unlike any other in the state of Hawaiʻi, public or private. We use an innovative and proven instructional model of station-rotation blended learning in the classroom that optimizes student learning and mastery. Our curriculum is fully aligned to Common Core State Standards, American College Test (ACT) College-Readiness Standards, and standards developed by Puʻukumu School. Our academic approach also includes project-based learning in the classroom and in deep nature, using Kauaʻi’s exquisite natural world as the ultimate outdoor classroom.
Our team is made up of a dedicated, energetic, and highly collaborative group of professionals who share a passion for closing the achievement gap and helping students to achieve beyond their academic and personal expectations. We hold high expectations for academics and discipline and simultaneously value joy, laughter, and curiosity in the classroom, making learning fun and exciting for our students and teachers.
